I wasn’t sure how much I would like this product when I purchased it. But, since our new patio and outdoor kitchen (which will include a wood fire pizza oven) won’t be finished for another year, I thought I would give the KettlePizza a shot.
This product did exactly what it says. Now I did have a pizzeria many moons ago so making pies is not an experiment for me.
I placed my hot coals in as they say and I added a few sticks of pecan wood to get some flames and increase the heat. Within minutes I had the kettle over 800 degrees. I let the pizza stone heat up for about 15 minutes before cooking my first pizza. I place the pizza in and gave it a spin after three minutes. The pie was done in about 6 minutes (this is normal in any wood fire oven). I did have to add wood after 30 minutes into cooking as the temp was going below 650.
I just can’t believe how authentic all of the pizzas came out. This thing is great!!!
